I saw a cloud a-melting
I saw a cloud a-melting
Two heaps in the sky
Reaching out for fusion
Right before my eye
Wind puffed them towards
Each others’ big embrace
In fever I awaited
Them touching face to face
But to my eyes’ surprise
Alas!
They stayed afar
For they were shrinking, melting
Collapsing like a star
And what is left of us
A speck above the sea
Fading to horizon
Never meant to be.
